FAQ and support

Answers to frequently asked questions about Restonim. Can’t find what you need? Contact us.

When will Restonim be available?

Restonim is being prepared for release. We are not yet announcing a launch date. Please join the waiting list — we will notify you by e-mail when the application becomes available.

Is joining the waiting list a purchase or a trial registration?

No. Joining the waiting list serves only to notify you by e-mail when Restonim becomes available. It is not a purchase, it does not activate a trial and it does not create an account or a licence. You can unsubscribe from the list at any time — there is a link in every message.

How much will Restonim cost?

Planned subscription prices (gross, in US dollars): $9.99 per month, $24.99 per quarter and $74.99 per year. Details on the pricing page. Sales have not started yet.

Will I be able to try Restonim free of charge?

Yes. We plan a 14-day free trial with no payment card required. The trial will require registration and confirmation of your e-mail address. It is not yet available.

Which systems will Restonim run on?

Restonim is being prepared in versions for macOS and Windows computers. We will publish detailed system requirements before launch.

Will Restonim handle scanned documents?

The launch version is intended to include text recognition (OCR) in scanned PDF documents. On Mac computers, OCR will require an Apple Silicon processor and macOS 26 or later. We will confirm the availability of OCR in the Windows version before launch.

Will I be able to move my licence to another computer?

Yes. One licence will cover one active device, and you will be able to move it to another computer. The licence will not be tied to an operating system: once the Windows version is released, you will be able to move it between macOS and Windows computers.

Will Restonim require an internet connection?

Working with documents will not require an internet connection. A connection will be needed only to activate and renew the licence.

How does pseudonymisation differ from anonymisation?

Pseudonymisation replaces identifying information with pseudonyms in a way that allows it to be restored later using additional information. Anonymisation is irreversible — afterwards it is no longer possible to tell whom the data related to. Restonim is a pseudonymisation tool, not an anonymisation tool.

Does a pseudonymised document still contain personal data?

As a rule, yes. Under the GDPR, pseudonymised data that could be attributed to a natural person by using additional information remain personal data (Recital 26). Pseudonymisation reduces risk and limits what is disclosed, but data protection law still applies.

What does restoration involve?

Restoration puts the original values back in place of the pseudonyms. It is not decryption of the document. You decide whether and when data are restored.

Will Restonim find all the confidential information in a document?

No tool can be certain that all confidential information will be identified. Detecting information does not mean it has been removed from the document. A pseudonymised document should always be checked before it is shared.

Can I use Restonim before sending a document to an AI tool?

Restonim is being designed for exactly this kind of situation: to limit the confidential information in a document before it reaches an external tool. The decision to share the document, the choice of tool and the assessment of the legal basis remain yours.

How can I get help?
